For much of my life, I believed that taking care of everyone else came first. If there was time left, I could think about myself—but that time never seemed to come. Society conditions us to believe that putting others first is the ultimate form of love, but what I’ve learned is that true care begins with us.

As a child, I was deeply intuitive, but the adults around me didn’t understand my gifts. Instead of nurturing my inner voice, I was taught to silence it. I was told I was wrong, that only adults knew what mattered, and that children were meant to be seen and not heard. It was a tough environment for a free-spirited, independent thinker like me, but I survived. Now, I’m grateful for the experiences that shaped who I am today.

In my teens, I began to seek answers. Although I wanted to be a good person, I was constantly made to feel like I wasn’t enough. This sparked my search for meaning through spirituality, nutrition, and personal growth. I devoured books to make sense of myself and the world, but the deeper healing I needed was yet to come.

In my mid-20s, life circumstances pushed me to question everything. Why was I living this way? Why was I making decisions based on others’ beliefs? I realized much of my life had been shaped by what others told me to do, not by what I truly wanted for myself. I dove deeper into studying religion, relationships, psychology, and more. It was a turning point that helped me begin to peel away the layers of conditioning.

By my 30s and early 40s, I was finally facing and healing many of the childhood wounds that had lingered for years. The process wasn’t easy, but I found strength and practical wisdom that kept me grounded. Being a mother of three gave me a sense of purpose and resilience, likely saving my life. The more I focused on my health and well-being, the clearer my intuition became. The more I followed it, the more life unfolded with ease and grace.

As I continued to prioritize my health—physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually—I experienced deeper transformation. I started to see tangible results that showed when I nurtured myself, I had more to give to those I loved. It became clear that we are all creators of our own reality. If we don’t like the situations we’re in, we have the power to change them. I came to understand that the largest part of me is non-physical—connected to the Source that creates worlds. We all have that connection and access to abundance, joy, and fulfillment if we’re willing to embrace it.

The result? I forgave much of the past, found my voice and became more focused on being in the present moment. My life became richer, more joyful, and filled with love—not only for others, but for myself.

The truth is, we’re all here to experience life fully, and we all have the tools we need to thrive. It starts by listening to our inner voice, trusting the process, and aligning with the limitless potential that already exists within us.
